SINGLE BOUND STUDIOS

SBS will not be accepting new orders from June 1, 2012 through August 31, 2012.

Once all current orders are caught up, we will use the downtime to move to a new location, get set up with new equipment, and work out the kinks in our production process.

We are adding new bookbinders to the group who will be part of fulfilling future orders. But it was decided we needed at least a 6 week practice period to ensure that our production process would run more smoothly and efficiently.

I like this time of year!

Projects that have been waiting in line suddenly get done! And projects received during the summer get turned around quicker.

Adding staff is always a gamble, but SBS continues to grow.

New names will be mentioned in upcoming blog entries. This year I have added a graphic artist to the team in order to be able to turn cover designs more quickly. I have also enlisted help in answering emails. So, no longer am I answering every email or building every cover design by myself.

There will be price increases for the Soft Cover books and Basic Binding books effective July 1, 2012. Pricing on the site will be updated by then. These price increases are being implemented reluctantly.

Any projects postmarked by June 30, 2012 will be honored at the lower prices.
